kīrtayettatkule satyaṃ vasāmyācandratārakam || 4||
Mahalakshmi said: Whoever recites my one thousand and eight names even once, even by mistake, I truly reside in their family as long as the moon and stars exist. (4)
kiṃ punarniyamājjapturmadekaśaraṇasya ca |
mātṛvatsānukampāhaṃ poṣakī syāmaharniśam || 5||
What to speak of one who chants it regularly and whose sole refuge is me? Like a mother compassionate to her calf, I shall be their nourisher day and night. (5)
mannāma stavatāṃ loke durlabhaṃ nāsti cintitam |
matprasādena sarve'pi svasveṣṭārthamavāpsyatha || 6||
For those who praise my names in the world, nothing they think of is difficult to obtain. By my grace, you will all attain your respective desired objects. (6)
luptavaiṣṇavadharmasya madvrateṣvavakīrṇinaḥ |
bhaktiprapattihīnasya vandyo nāmnāṃ jarāpi me || 7||
Even for one who has lost the Vaishnava dharma, who has failed in my vows, or who is devoid of devotion and surrender, my names are worthy of worship, even a fraction of them. (7)
tasmādavaśyaṃ tairdoṣairvihīnaḥ pāpavarjitaḥ |
japetsāṣṭasahasraṃ me nāmnāṃ pratyahamādarāt || 8||
Therefore, one who is devoid of those faults and free from sins should surely chant my one thousand and eight names every day with respect. (8)
sākṣādalakṣmīputro'pi durbhāgyo'pyalaso'pi vā |
aprayatno'pi mūḍho'pi vikalaḥ patito'pi ca || 9||
Even if one is directly a son of Alakshmi (misfortune), or unfortunate, or lazy, or effortless, or foolish, or disabled, or fallen... (9)
avaśātprāpnuyādbhāgyaṃ matprasādena kevalam |
spṛheyamacirāddevāḥ varadānāya jāpinaḥ || 10||
...they shall helplessly attain good fortune solely by my grace. O gods! I am eager to grant boons to the chanters without delay. (10)
dadāmi sarvamiṣṭārthaṃ lakṣmīti smaratāṃ dhruvam |
I grant all desired objects to those who remember me as Lakshmi, this is certain.
Sanatkumara said: Having said this, Lakshmi, the Vaishnavi, the divine manifestation of the Lord, disappeared. (11)
sanatkumāra uvāca-
ityuktvā'ntardadhe lakṣmīrvaiṣṇavī bhagavatkalā || 11||
Names of Goddess Lakshmi, extolling her infinite divine attributes, forms, and cosmic powers. (155)
iṣṭāpūrtaṃ ca sukṛtaṃ bhāgadheyaṃ ca cintitam |
svaṃ svaṃ sthānaṃ ca bhogaṃ ca vijayaṃ lebhire surāḥ || 12||
The gods attained their merits from sacrifices and public works, their good deeds, their desired fortune, their respective abodes, enjoyments, and victory. (12)
tadetat pravadāmyadya lakṣmīnāmasahasrakam |
yoginaḥ paṭhata kṣipraṃ cintitārthānavāpsyatha || 13||
Therefore, I speak this thousand names of Lakshmi today. O Yogis, read it quickly, and you will attain your desired objects. (13)
gārgya uvāca-
sanatkumāroyogīndra ityuktvā sa dayānidhiḥ |
anugṛhya yayau kṣipraṃ tāṃśca dvādaśayoginaḥ || 14||
Gargya said: Having said this, Sanatkumara, the lord of Yogis, that ocean of mercy, blessed them and quickly departed, and those twelve Yogis also departed. (14)
tasmādetadrahasyañca gopyaṃ japyaṃ prayatnataḥ |
aṣṭamyāṃ ca caturdaśyāṃ navamyāṃ bhṛguvāsare || 15||
Therefore, this secret should be protected and chanted with effort on the eighth day, the fourteenth day, the ninth day, and on Fridays. (15)
paurṇamāsyāmamāyāṃ ca parvakāle viśeṣataḥ |
japedvā nityakāryeṣu sarvānkāmānavāpnuyāt || 16||
Especially on the full moon, new moon, and festive occasions, or in daily duties, one should chant it and attain all desires. (16)
