Privacy Policy
Short version: there's nothing to log into, so there's very little of you here to collect.

No account. No password. No profile. We don't ask who you are, and reading a stotra here doesn't require you to tell us. What follows is the detail, in as plain a form as we can manage.
Nothing to sign up for
Every text on this site is readable without registering, subscribing, or giving us an email address. There is no account system, so there is no name, no password and no reading history stored against you anywhere.
What your own browser keeps
A few small preferences are stored on your device so the site behaves sensibly the next time you open it — which script you last chose to read in, whether you had meanings switched on, and whether you've dismissed the “install” prompt. This sits in your browser's own storage. It doesn't come to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The site also keeps a copy of pages you've already visited so they still open when you have no signal. That copy lives on your device too, and it's cleared the same way.
Analytics
We use a standard web analytics service to see which pages get read and roughly where readers come from. It tells us that a page was opened, on what kind of device, from what sort of location — not who opened it. We use it to decide what to work on next, and for nothing else.
If you'd rather not be counted, browser privacy settings, tracker-blocking extensions and your browser's “do not track” options all work here as they do anywhere. Nothing on this site stops working if you block analytics.
Fonts and other things loaded from elsewhere
The typefaces this site uses are served from our own server rather than from a font provider's network, which means opening a page doesn't quietly announce your visit to a third party you never chose. We keep outside dependencies to a minimum for this reason.
When you write to us
The forms on the Contact page don't send anything anywhere on their own. They assemble what you've typed and hand it to your own email app, so nothing leaves your device until you press send there — and you can read and edit the whole thing first.
Once you do send it, we have your message and whatever address you sent it from. We keep correspondence for as long as it takes to act on it and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can go back and check why a text was changed. We don't add you to a mailing list, because we don't have one. If you'd like us to delete what you've sent, ask, and we will.
Volunteer applications are treated the same way: they're read by the people running the project and aren't shared outside it. If you tell us how you'd like to be credited, we'll use exactly that and nothing more.
Advertising
We don't show advertising. If that were ever to change, this page would say so before it happened, and it would say what the arrangement is.
Children
This site is a reading library and is suitable for any age. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included, because we don't collect personal information as a matter of course at all.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when what we do changes, and the review date at the top will move when we do. We won't quietly start collecting something and mention it later.
Asking us about any of this
Questions, or a request to delete something you've sent us:[email protected], or through thecontact form.
