(Bhairava Catuhsasti Namavali Rudrayamala Tamtra Se Vyutpanna in Kannada)
Also known as bhairava chatuhshashti namavali 64 names derived from rudrayamala tantra · om hrim asitanga bhairavaya namah
The sixty-four Bhairavas, named one by one, each prefixed with Oṁ hrīṁ and closed with namaḥ. The colophon is precise about where the list came from: it was drawn out of the Rudrayāmala's stotra of the sixty-four forms, so this is a litany derived from a hymn rather than an independent composition. The sequence opens on Asitāṅga, the black-limbed, and moves through Viśālākṣa the wide-eyed, Mārtaṇḍa the sun-form, Modakapriya who is fond of sweets, and Svacchanda the self-willed — a range that shows how far the class travels, from the cremation-ground figures to the guardian who takes offerings at a doorway. The sixty-four are the standard enumeration of the Bhairava order in the tantras, eight groups of eight under the eight principal Bhairavas.
