Lord Shiva

śrī mahādeva stutiḥ (brahmādideva kṛtam)

(Sri Mahadeva Stutih Brahmadideva Krtam in English (IAST))

Also known as Mahadeva Stuti · Brahmadi Deva Krita Mahadeva Stuti · mahadev stuti

The praise offered to Mahadeva by Brahma and the gods, from the Matsya Purana, and it is a hymn made almost entirely of names. The gods speak: salutation to Bhava, to Sharva, to Rudra the giver of boons; to the lord of creatures, to the fierce one, to the wearer of matted locks; to Mahadeva, to Bhima, to the three-eyed lord of the peoples; to Ishvara, to the destroyer of Bhaga, to the slayer of Andhaka. Each name carries an act or an aspect, so that the naming amounts to an account of who he is. Recited for the removal of sin and for prosperity in every kind.
