ಶ್ರೀದತ್ತಾತ್ರೇಯಾಷ್ಟೋರಶತನಾಮಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್
The One Hundred and Eight Names of Lord Dattatreya.
ಓಂ ಅನಸೂಯಾಸುತೋಽನನ್ತ ಆದ್ಯ ಆತ್ರೇಯ ಆತ್ಮದಃ ।
ಇಡಾಪತಿರಿಲೇಶಾರ್ಚ್ಯ ಈಶ ಈಡಿತಸದ್ಗುಣಃ ॥ ೧॥
Om, the son of Anasuya, the infinite, the primordial, the descendant of Atri, the bestower of the Self, the Lord of Ida, worshipped by the Lord of the Earth, the Supreme Lord, whose virtuous qualities are praised.
ಉನ್ಮತ್ತ ಉತ್ತಮಯಶಾ ಊಕೃದೂರ್ಧ್ವಗತಿಪ್ರಿಯಃ ।
ಋಣಹರ್ತಾ ಋಷಿಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠೋ ೠವನ್ದ್ಯೋ ೠಜಶಿಕ್ಷಕಃ ॥ ೨॥
He who is in a state of divine madness, He who possesses supreme glory, He who is the creator of the universe, He who is fond of the upward path, He who is the remover of debts, He who is the best among sages, He who is worshipped by the wise, and He who is the teacher of the righteous.
ಲೃಸ್ಥವನ್ದ್ಯೋ ಲೃಗತಿದೋ ಲೄವನ್ದ್ಯೋ ಲೄಪುರಃಸರಃ ।
ಏಷ್ಯದಿಷ್ಟಜ್ಞ ಏಕಾರ್ಥ ಐಕ್ಯಾತ್ಮಪ್ರದ ಐಕ್ಯದೃಕ್ ॥ ೩॥
He who is worshipped by the letter 'Lṛ', He who grants the path of 'Lṛ', He who is worshipped by the letter 'Lṝ', He who is preceded by 'Lṝ', He who knows the desired future, He who is the sole purpose, He who grants the realization of oneness, and He who perceives unity.
ಓಙ್ಕಾರವಾಚ್ಯ ಓಜೋದ ಔದಾಸೀನ್ಯದ ಔಷಧಃ ।
ಅಣ್ಡಸ್ಥೋನ್ತಃಕರಣಪಾ ಅಶ್ಚಾಸ್ತನಿಜಹೃನ್ಮಲಃ ॥ ೪॥
He who is denoted by the syllable Om, the source of vital energy, the bestower of detachment, the medicine for worldly existence, the indweller of the cosmic egg, the protector of the inner self, and the one who has destroyed the impurities of his own heart.
ಕರ್ಮಾತೀತಃ ಕಾರ್ತವೀರ್ಯೇಟ್ ಖಲಹಾ ಖಗಪೂಜಿತಃ ।
ಗತಿಗಙ್ಗಾಜಲಸ್ನಾಯೀ ಘೋರಹಾ ಘನಚಿತ್ಪ್ರಭಃ ॥ ೫॥
He who is beyond all karmas, He who is the Lord of Kartavirya, He who is the destroyer of the wicked, He who is worshipped by the celestial beings, He who bathes in the waters of the flowing Ganga, He who destroys terrible sins, and He who is the radiance of dense consciousness.
ಙಶಿಕ್ಷಕೋ ಙೇತಮನಾ ಚತುರಶ್ಚನ್ದ್ರಮೋಽಗ್ರಜಃ ।
ಛನ್ದಪೂರಶ್ಛನ್ದೀಡ್ಯೋ ಜಯದಾತಾ ಜಗತ್ಪತಿಃ ॥ ೬॥
He who teaches the knowledge of the Absolute, He whose mind is pure, He who is clever, He who is the elder brother of the Moon, He who fulfills the desires of the devotees, He who is praised by the Vedas, He who is the bestower of victory, and He who is the Lord of the universe.
ಝಞ್ಝಾಕರೋ ಝರಸ್ನಾಯೀ ಞಹರ್ತಾ ಞವಿವರ್ಜಿತಃ ।
ಟೀಕಾಕೃಟ್ಟಿಟ್ಟಿಭಕೃಟ್ ಠವಾದಿಮತಹೃಠ್ಠವಿತ್ ॥ ೭॥
He who is the storm, who bathes in the waterfall, who removes the ignorance of the 'Jna' (the knower), who is devoid of the 'Jna' (the limited ego), who is the commentator, who creates the 'Tittibha' (the universe), who destroys the arguments of those who speak of 'Tha' (the ritualists), and who knows the essence of the 'Tha' (the supreme truth).
ಡಾಮರೇಡ್ಯೋ ಡಮರುಧೃಕ್ ಢಕ್ಕಾಕೃಢ್ಢುಣ್ಡಿರಾಟ್ಪ್ರಿಯಃ ॥
He who is the Lord of the Damara (a tantric text), who holds the Damaru (drum), who is the creator of the sound of the drum, and who is dear to the King of the Dhundis (Ganesha).
ಣವೀಕ್ಷಣೋ ಣಗಮ್ಯಶ್ಚ ತತ್ತ್ವವಿತ್ತಾಪಶಾಮಕಃ ॥ ೮॥
He who is the observer of the subtle, He who is unattainable by the Vedas, and He who pacifies the distress of those who know the Truth.
ಥೈಥೈಕೃತ್ಥೃತ್ಕೃತಾನಾರ್ಯೋ ದತ್ತೋ ದಾತಾ ದಯಾನಿಧಿಃ ।
ಧನಪ್ರದೋ ಧರ್ಮಗೋಪ್ತಾ ನಗ್ನೋ ನಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥಲಾಭದಃ ॥ ೯॥
He who dances with the sound of "thai-thai," he who is the giver, the ocean of compassion, the bestower of wealth, the protector of righteousness, the naked one, and the restorer of lost wealth.
ಪರಶಕ್ತಿಃ ಪಾಪಹರ್ತಾ ಫಲದಃ ಫಣಿಸೂತ್ರಭೃತ್ ।
ಬನ್ಧಛಿದ್ಬಲವಜ್ಜೇತಾ ಭಯಕೃದ್ಭಯಹೃದ್ಭವಃ ॥ ೧೦॥
The Supreme Energy, the destroyer of sins, the bestower of fruits, the wearer of the serpent-thread, the breaker of bonds, the conqueror of the mighty, the creator of fear, and the remover of the fear of worldly existence.
ಮತ್ತಹಾ ಮಾಹುರಸ್ಥಾನೋ ಯಜ್ಞಭೋಕ್ತಾ ಯದೂದ್ವಹಃ ।
ರಸದೋ ರಿಪುಸಂಹರ್ತಾ ಲಾಭದೋ ಲಯಸಿದ್ಧಿದಃ ॥ ೧೧॥
He who destroys arrogance, He who resides in Mahur, He who enjoys the sacrifice, He who is the best of the Yadu race, He who grants the essence, He who destroys enemies, He who grants gains, and He who bestows the perfection of dissolution.
ವಶೀ ವರೇಣ್ಯೋ ವರದಃ ಶಾನ್ತಃ ಶ್ರೀಪುರಭಿಕ್ಷುಕಃ ।
ಷಡ್ಬಾಹುಃ ಷಣ್ಮತಗತಿಃ ಸಂಸಾರಾರಿಶ್ಚ ಸಹ್ಯಗಃ ॥ ೧೨॥
He who is the controller, the most excellent, the bestower of boons, the peaceful one, the mendicant of Sripura, the six-armed one, the guide of the six philosophies, the enemy of the cycle of worldly existence, and the one who dwells in the Sahya mountains.
ಹರ್ಷಪ್ರದೋ ಹಿತಾಶಂಸೀ ಳಾನ್ತಾರ್ಣೋ ಳವಿವರ್ಜಿತಃ ।
ಕ್ಷರಾಕ್ಷರಾತಿಗಃ ಕ್ಷನ್ತಾ ಜ್ಞಾನದೋ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಸದ್ಗತಿಃ ॥ ೧೩॥
He who bestows joy, he who wishes for the welfare of all, he whose name ends with the letter 'La', he who is devoid of the letter 'La', he who transcends the perishable and the imperishable, he who is forgiving, he who bestows knowledge, and he who is the ultimate refuge of the wise.
ಏವಂ ವರ್ಣಕ್ರಮೇಣೇದಂ ಶ್ರೀದತ್ತಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನಃ ।
ಅಷ್ಟೋತ್ತರಶತಂ ನಾಮ್ನಾ ಪ್ರಸೀದೇತ್ಪಠತಾಂ ಪ್ರಭುಃ ॥ ೧೪॥
Thus, by reciting these one hundred and eight names of the great-souled Sri Dattatreya in this alphabetical order, the Lord shall be pleased.
ಇತಿ ಶ್ರೀವಾಸುದೇವಾನನ್ದಸರಸ್ವತೀವಿರಚಿತಂ
ದತ್ತಾತ್ರೇಯಾಷ್ಟೋತ್ತರಶತನಾಮಸ್ತೋತ್ರಂ ಸಮ್ಪೂರ್ಣಮ್ ।
