ଶ୍ରୀ ଶିଵ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍ (ହିମାଲଯ କୃତମ୍)

Himalaya's hymn to Shiva from the thirty-eighth chapter of the Krishna-janma-khanda in the Brahmavaivarta Purana — spoken by the mountain who is to become his father-in-law, which gives the plainness of it a certain force. You are Brahma the maker of creation, and you are Vishnu the protector; you are Shiva, giver of good, endless, the doer of the withdrawal of all things. The second verse takes him past that scheme: you are the lord, beyond the strands, whose form is light, without beginning; you are nature and the lord of nature, born of nature and beyond it. Fifteen verses hold that double motion throughout — the god who does the three works, and the one who is prior to the terms in which those works are described.
