Goddess Durga

ദക്ഷ പ്രജാപതി കൃത മാഁ ജഗദമ്ബേ സ്തുതി (Maa Durga Stuti By Daksha Prajapati)

(Maa-durga-stuti-by-daksha-prajapati in Malayalam)

From Shiva Purana

Also known as maa durga stuti · durga maa stuti · srisivamahapurana ke rudrasamhita ke amtargata satikhandah

Nine verses spoken by Daksha Prajapati in the Sati Khanda of the Shiva Purana's Rudra Samhita. Three of them are built on the same frame and differ by a single word: she is the one by whom Brahma, appointed to create, created; by whom Vishnu, appointed to maintain, maintained; by whom Rudra, appointed to destroy, destroyed — and after each the same line returns, bowing to her as the supreme bearer of the world. The last verses turn from doing to knowing: whoever holds her in mind as both knowledge and ignorance has enjoyment and release in the palm of his hand. The same stuti stands in this corpus a second time, under Goddess Kali, in the shorter recension of the Kalika Purana's eighth chapter.
