śrī baṭukabhairavāṣṭottaraśatanāmavaliḥ (108 Names)
(Shri Batuka Bhairava Ashtottara Shatanamavali in English (IAST))
Also known as sri batuka bhairava ashtottara shatanamavali · shree batuka bhairava ashtottara shatanamavali · batuka bhairava ashtottara shatanamavali
The same hundred and eight names of Baṭuka Bhairava that the Āpaduddhāraka stotra gives in verse, set out singly for telling on a mālā, each name in the dative between Oṁ and namaḥ. The record keeps the viniyoga that a litany needs and a hymn does not, naming Bṛhadāraṇyaka as the seer of the mantra, anuṣṭubh as its metre, Baṭuka Bhairava as its deity, baṃ as the seed and hrīṁ as the power. The sequence is unchanged from the verse form and can be followed against it name for name: Bhairava, lord of beings, self of beings, maker of beings, then the field series — knower of the field, guardian of the field, giver of the field. Because those same names open the Kālabhairava thousand, this shortest list, the verse form, and the sahasranāma are three lengths of one text.
