Goddess Bagalamukhi

ଶ୍ରୀ ବଗଲାପଞ୍ଜରନ୍ଯାସସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

(Sri Bagalamukhi Panjara Nyasa Stotram in Odia)

Also known as shri bagalamukhi panjara nyasa stotram · shree bagalamukhi panjara nyasa stotram · bagalamukhi panjara nyasa stotram

A short placing-hymn that builds a cage rather than an armour, setting a form of the Goddess at each quarter of the compass in turn: Bagala herself in the east, the mace-bearer at the south-east, Pitambari in the south, the paralyser at the south-west, and so around, with the goddess of the weapon of Brahma at the north-east and the mother of the hymn below, in the underworld. Five verses do the whole of it. The closing verse says what the placing is for, which is that afterwards whatever japa is done takes effect, and that from the mere remembrance of her the paralysing of enemies follows.
