Goddess Bala Tripurasundari

śrī bālā stotram

(Sri Bala Stotram in English (IAST))

Also known as bala stotram · bala tripurasundari stotram short · sphatika rajata varnam

Four verses, the first of which is not about Bala at all: it is a meditation on Dakshinamurti, crystal and silver in colour, garlanded with pearls, holding the pot of nectar and the gestures of knowledge and learning, moon-crowned and three-eyed — because he is the sage of her mantra, and the hymn begins by saluting him. The three that follow take her three seed syllables one at a time and build each verse from words beginning with that syllable. The verse on Aim gives her lordship and the eight enjoyments, the boon of the sciences beginning with grammar, and Indra's worship; the verse on Sauh calls her praised by the immortals, giver of the light of good speech, the nectar churned from the sea of good fortune, the maker of beauty and wealth.
