ଶ୍ରୀ ଚାମୁଣ୍ଡେଶ୍ଵରୀ ଅଷ୍ଟୋତ୍ତରଶତନାମ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

A hundred and eight names of Chamundeshwari, the goddess of the hill above Mysore, and the list places her in the Shrividya from its first line rather than in the Devi Mahatmya. She is mistress of the lion throne, her greatness knowable through the Shrividya, dweller in the city of the Shrichakra, and beloved of Shrikantha. What follows names her as the three great goddesses at once, Mahakali and Mahalakshmi and Mahavani, and then as thousand-headed and thousand-handed in safflower-coloured cloth and a jewelled bodice. One name is a whole story in a compound: she from whose finger-nails the ten forms of Narayana arose. Later names take in Indrakshi and Bagala and Bala and Vijayambika, so the list gathers the local goddess and the Mahavidyas into one figure.
