(Sri Chamundeshwari Ashtottara Shatanamavali in Assamese)
Also known as shri chamundeshwari ashtottara shatanamavali · shree chamundeshwari ashtottara shatanamavali · chamundeshwari ashtottara shatanamavali
The same hundred and eight names of Chamundeshwari set out for offering, each standing alone between om and namah so that a flower or a grain of rice can be given at every one, and the companion of the stotram beside it in this cluster. The list is identical and so is its logic: it opens on the Shrividya titles — mistress of the lion throne, she whose greatness is known through the Shrividya, dweller in the city of the Shrichakra — before it reaches Gauri and Girija and Bhuvaneshvari, and it is only after those that the three great goddesses are named. Performed as an archana the placement tells: the goddess worshipped on the hill at Mysore is being addressed first as the Shrividya deity and only afterwards by the names the Puranas gave her.
