ଶ୍ରୀ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ ଅଷ୍ଟୋତ୍ତରଶତନାମ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍ ୩

A third hundred and eight names of Lakshmi, from the Naradiya Upapurana, and unlike the other two it does not begin with lotuses or with gold. It begins with brahman: knower of brahman, giver of the happiness of brahman, devoted to brahman, whose form is brahman — and then turns to steadiness of a very sober kind, good understanding, good fortune, restraint, self-control, the ascetic's discipline. The second verse widens her to the whole of experience: whose form is the life-breath of everything, giver of happiness to every sense, made of awareness, of right conduct, always contented, always bowed to. It is a Lakshmi conceived as the ground of things rather than as their reward, and the difference from the other two lists is worth reading them side by side for.
