സ്വപ്ന വാരാഹീ സ്തോത്രമ്

Vārāhī as mistress of dreams, with Bhairava named as the seer and the stated purpose given in the viniyoga itself — the accomplishment of the dream. The meditation gives her the usual dark blue-lotus colour and boar face, and then the epithet the whole text turns on: Svapneśvarī, lady of sleep. The second verse states her paradox carefully rather than decoratively — she holds wakefulness within sleep, shows dreams within waking, and speaks truthfully even inside a dream — which is the claim that makes the practice possible, since a dream can only be consulted if something in it does not lie. What is promised at the end is correspondingly specific: bad dreams are destroyed and good ones shown, and the one to whom Vārāhī appears directly in a dream knows what is to come.
