Lord Hanuman

बुद्धिर् बलम् यशो धैर्यम्

(Buddhir Balam Yasho Dhairyam)

Also known as buddhir balam yaso dhairyam nirbhayatvam arogatam

A single verse, and one of the most often recited in the whole Hanuman repertoire — it is what is said at the close of the Chalisa, after the forty couplets are done. It lists eight things and claims one cause for all of them: intelligence, strength, fame, steadiness, fearlessness, freedom from illness, freedom from dullness of mind, and readiness of speech, all of which come, it says, from the remembering of Hanuman. The order is worth noticing. It begins at the mind and ends at the tongue, with the bodily gifts held in the middle, so that what is being asked for is not chiefly strength but the clearing of the faculties. Nothing is described and nothing is narrated. The verse is a claim, and its shortness is why it is remembered.
