May the Goddess Saraswati, who is as fair as a jasmine flower, the moon, or a snowflake, who is dressed in white garments, whose hands are adorned with the Veena, and who is seated on a white lotus...

...who is always worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu (Achyuta), Shiva, and other gods, protect me and entirely remove my ignorance.

I bow to that Sharada, the supreme Goddess, who is pure (white), who is entirely devoted to the essence of the knowledge of Brahman, who is primordial, who pervades the universe, who holds a Veena and a book, who grants fearlessness, who destroys the darkness of ignorance...

...who holds a crystal rosary in her hand, who is seated on a lotus, who grants intelligence.
