ಶ್ರೀ ಸಙ್ಕಷ್ಟಮೋಚನ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್ (ಕಾಶೀ ಪೀಠಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಕೃತ)

A Sankat Mochan stotra — and Sankat Mochan here is Hanuman, not Ganesha, which is what this record had been filed under. Everything in it says so: the great ocean leapt in high spirits, the burning of the city of Lanka, the Drona mountain fetched, the emperor of the monkeys, the son of the wind, the helper of Rama and Lakshmana. Its third verse places him exactly, as the wrestler of the mansion shining to the south in Kashi, which is the Sankat Mochan temple there. The fourth is the plainest account of how that shrine is used: merely remembered he gives to those who worship, properly worshipped he grants the increase of what is wished for, he is fond of modakas — and he takes his greatest delight in the hearing of the Ramayana.
