Fourteen names in three verses, and the shortest of the Datta name-texts. They are Varada the giver of boons; the one who gave Kārtavīrya and kings like him their kingdoms; Anagha the faultless; Viśvaślāghya whom the world praises; Amitācāra whose conduct is beyond measure; Dattātreya; Munīśvara, lord of sages; the one embraced by the feet of the supreme power; Yogānanda; Sadonmada, always in rapture; the taker-away of the force of every enemy; the ocean of highest nectar; the jewel born of Anasūyā's womb; and the giver of enjoyment, release and ease. The closing line is an instruction rather than a promise — these fourteen names of the world's teacher, of Hari who is called Datta, are to be recited day after day — which is what has kept the text in daily use where the longer lists are not.
Script: Devanagari (देवनागरी) — also the script of Hindi, Marathi, Nepali and Konkani.
