ଶ୍ରୀ କୃଷ୍ଣ ସ୍ତଵରାଜଃ (କୃଷ୍ଣଦାସ କୃତମ୍)

Nine verses by Krishnadasa, each ending I have gone for refuge to Shri Krishnachandra, and the whole of it stays in Vrindavana and in the sweet mode of devotion. It opens on the endless play of love's art, the youthful moon, the crest-jewel of those who know rasa, dark, a treasury of great beauty. Yellow silk bright as unending lightning at the hips; a peacock crest with the sheen of Indra's bow; a garland worked with musk; wide eyes rolling with languor; cheeks lit by makara earrings; a face carrying the loveliness of a crore of moons. Then armlets, bracelets, neck-chains, rings and tinkling anklets, and music in the lovely bowers of the Vrinda forest. The last two verses give the hymn its character — the divine couple at their play, Radha taken on his lap and her moon-face kissed again and again, with Lalita and her companions looking on.
