श्री रामाष्टोत्तर शत नामावलि
(Shri Ramashtottara Shata Namavali)
Also known as shri rama ashtottara shatanamavali · shree rama ashtottara shatanamavali · rama ashtottara shatanamavali
A hundred and eight names of Rama in salutation form, numbered straight through, and the ordering of the opening run shows what the list is doing. It begins with the name itself and its two common extensions, Rama, Ramabhadra, Ramachandra, and only then adds a quality — the everlasting — before returning to the lotus-eyed, the glorious, the lord among kings, the bull of the Raghus, the beloved of Janaki. The pattern holds throughout: an epithet from the story, then one from doctrine, then back again, so that the man of Ayodhya and the supreme person are never allowed to separate for more than a line at a time.
Script: Devanagari (देवनागरी) — also the script of Hindi, Marathi, Nepali and Konkani.
