శ్రీ రామానుజాష్టోత్తరశతనామావలీ
(Sri Ramanuja Ashtottara Shatanamavali in Telugu)
Also known as shri ramanuja ashtottara shatanamavali · shree ramanuja ashtottara shatanamavali · ramanuja ashtottara shatanamavali
A hundred and eight names of Ramanuja for offering, and the first few settle what kind of figure is being addressed. He is Ramanuja and lotus-eyed; then lord among ascetics, and the mine of compassion; then the son of Kantimati, which is his mother's name, so a human parentage is given before anything else. The name immediately after it does the opposite work — one whose human body is assumed in play — which is the formula used of a descent, and the list never resolves the two. What follows is what he is honoured for: knower of the truth of the meaning of all the shastras, and all-knowing. The archana belongs to the Srivaishnava temples and is performed on his day, and this record is the Sanskrit list rather than the Tamil praise-verses that accompany it.
