ಶ್ರೀತಾರಾಧ್ಯಾನಮ್ (ಸಾತ್ವಿಕ, ರಾಜಸ, ತಾಮಸ ಧ್ಯಾನ)

Fourteen verses of meditation on Tara, and the text's own headings divide them into five, which is what makes this record worth reading before any other in the group: it gives the fierce form and the gentle form and then the three forms of the qualities, one after another, as alternatives rather than as contradictions. The first is Ugratara, standing on a white lotus in the middle of the all-pervading water, blue, her hands bright with chopper and sword and skull and blue lotus. The sattvic one is white-robed on a swan, pearl-ornamented, four-faced and eight-armed with water-pot and lotus. The last stands in an ocean of blood with the weapons of dissolution, and is saluted as the goddess who makes the ending.
