ଅଷ୍ଟଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ ସମ୍ପତ୍ପ୍ରଦସ୍ତଵଃ

A hymn to the eight Lakshmis that keeps unusual company: it opens with a verse to Parvati's son as the fierce sun to the darkness of obstacles, the forest fire to the thicket of them, the sharabha to their lion — and then turns not to Vishnu but to the lord of the hall of consciousness, Nataraja of Chidambaram, whose body is embraced by Aparna. The eight Lakshmis are praised within that frame, which places the whole stava in the Chidambaram tradition rather than the Vaishnava one where Ashtalakshmi hymns usually sit. The closing verse keeps it consistent to the end: whoever rises at dawn and reads this hymn that gives wealth obtains unmoving prosperity — by the grace of Nataraja.
