ଶ୍ରୀ ରାମ ସ୍ତୁତିଃ (ବ୍ରହ୍ମଦେଵ କୃତମ୍)

Ten verses spoken by Brahma in the thirteenth canto of the Yuddha Kanda of the Adhyatma Ramayana, where the gods come before Rama after the war, and Brahma's contribution is the most abstract of them. He salutes not the victor but Vishnu — the cause by which everything stands, the one contemplated within the heart by those who know the self, free of the pairing of what is to be rejected and what is not, the supreme one, mere being, seated in every heart and having the nature of seeing. Only in the second verse does the figure return, and it returns through practice: having stopped the breaths in the heart by settled understanding and cut every knot of doubt, the ascetics free of delusion see him — and that one, jewel-crowned and sun-bright, is Rama.
