ହନୁମଦଷ୍ଟୋତ୍ତରଶତନାମସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

A hundred and eight names from the Ghatikachala Mahatmya in the Brahmavaivarta Purana, and the meditation verse that opens it fixes the form to hold: a face of the palest red, a body carrying the golden mountain, and — unusually for Hanuman — the conch and the discus in his hands. That is the Sholinghur image, and the hill itself keeps returning in the names, as the dweller on the golden mountain. The list runs from parijata-priya, lover of the coral tree, through the leaping-king, the tawny-eyed, the swift-goer, the firm in vow; then to what he did — giver of Saumitri's life, shaker of Lanka, strider of the ocean, remover of the cause of Sita's grief, and breaker of the necklace at the throat of the demon's wife.
