ಹನುಮತ್ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್ (ಶ್ರೀಧರ ಸ್ವಾಮೀ ಕೃತ)

Ten verses in pramanika, a short eight-syllable metre the text names at its head, and each of them closes on the same half-line: I worship Anjani's son. The praise is almost entirely abstract, which is unusual in this cluster — sole abode of happiness, breaker of the pride of the mind-born, censurer of the notion that takes the not-self for the self; well served by those who wish to cross the sea of becoming; the descent of Shiva; a mine of virtues and a mine of compassion; giver of the knowledge of one's own self. Only in the fifth verse does Rama appear, and even there in threes: servant of Rama's feet, singer of Rama's name, giver of devotion to Rama. Its closing promise is of a piece with the rest — whoever reads it does not go round again.
