Goddess Devi

mā~ kūṣmāṇḍā devī kavaca (Navratri Day 4)

(Kushmanda Devi Kavach in English (IAST))

Also known as devi kavach · devi kavach pdf · devi kawach

A short armour of Kushmanda, who is the fourth of the nine forms worshipped through the nights of Navaratri, and the meditation verse gives her at once: mounted on a lion, eight-armed, the half-moon made into her crest, the giver of what is wished for, glorious. The armour proper is brief, a few verses covering the body. The closing verse states the condition these texts almost always state, and in its strongest form here — one who worships Kushmanda without knowing this armour gains no accomplishment from it, not in a hundred crores of ages. Five units carry the whole of it.
