મેનયા કૃતં કાલિકાસ્તોત્રમ્ (શિવપુરાણ)

Ten verses spoken by Mena, the wife of the mountain, in the fifth chapter of the Parvati Khanda of the Shiva Purana's Rudra Samhita — a mother praising the Goddess shortly before that Goddess is born as her daughter. What she says keeps to the largest names: the great illusion, bearer of the world, Chandika who holds the worlds up, the great goddess who gives every wish; the maker of unending joy, Yoganidra, the womb of the world, ever accomplished. The last verse states her position and asks for nothing else — you are the womb and the sustainer of the worlds, you are the eternal Prakriti that stands beyond, and the form of brahman itself is brought under control as you will; be gracious to me now, Mother.
