The Formless Brahman

நாஸதீய ஸூக்தம்

(Nasadiya Suktam in Tamil)

From Rigveda (10.129)

Also known as nasadasinno sadasittadaninnasidrajo no vyoma paro yat

The Nasadiya Suktam, found in the tenth mandala of the Rigveda, is one of the most profound philosophical hymns in world literature. It explores the mysteries of creation, questioning the origins of the universe and the nature of existence before time began. Attributed to the seer Prajapati Parameshthi, it moves beyond anthropomorphic deities to contemplate the abstract, ultimate reality of the Brahman. Chanting or reflecting upon this hymn is believed to foster deep intellectual clarity, spiritual inquiry, and a profound realization of the interconnectedness of all existence, guiding the seeker toward the absolute truth.
