ଶ୍ରୀ ଆଞ୍ଜନେଯ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍ (ଉମାସଂହିତା)

Maheshvara tells it to the Goddess, and it is one of two Uma Samhita texts in this collection built on very nearly the same verses — this one announcing itself as the hymn that takes away all fear, its companion as the one that brings all happiness. It is a sequence of meditations rather than a single one, a different form for each way of holding him, each with its own colour. First the body of molten gold decked with many jewels, the face like the young sun rising, three-eyed and bright with earrings, a munja girdle and a loincloth and a golden sacred thread, tawny-eyed and huge, holding a chisel and the lord of mountains, the tip of his tail flung up over his crest, standing on the peak of Meru. Then the chaste one, the colour of a hibiscus flower. Then the god who dwells in the five syllables, dark as a blue rain-cloud.
