(Shri Chandika Navakshari Trishati in Malayalam)
Also known as sri chandika navakshari trishati · shree chandika navakshari trishati · chandika navakshari trishati
Three hundred names of Chandika laid out on the nine syllables of the navarna mantra, each syllable heading a long run of names built from it, so that the litany works through the mantra one sound at a time. The run on mu turns to the killing of Munda and is the fiercest stretch of it: the head swung in her hand, her red garment lit by the blood running from it, the garland of skulls at her throat as she dances. The run on the last syllable localises her sharply, naming her the destroyer of the king of Chedi and the guardian of the Chera country, and ending on the ruin of kings and thieves in the Chera and Chola lands. Four summary names close the list, joining Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasarasvati in her.
