Lord Hanuman

ଶ୍ରୀହନୂମତ୍ସ୍ମରଣମ୍ (ପ୍ରାତଃ ସ୍ମରଣ)

(Srihanumatsmaranam Pratah Smarana in Odia)

Also known as shri hanumat smaranam · pratah smarami hanumantamanantaviryam

Three verses and three hours, which is the whole of the form: at dawn I remember, at midday I bow, in the evening I worship. The dawn verse takes him at his most renowned — Hanuman of measureless valour, the bee at Rama's lotus feet, who gladdened the host of the gods by the burning of Lanka, the house in which every attainment is kept. The midday verse carries the images: uniquely steadfast in ferrying others over the sea of wrongdoing, skilled at the work of drying up the ocean of Sita's distress, a wish-granting tree to all who bow. The evening verse is at once the fiercest of the three and the most consoling — famed for his power in undoing the whole heaped affliction of those who come to him, the ender of Aksha, the comet to the entire race of demons, and compassionate.
