(Shri Radha Shodash Naam Stotra in Odia)
Also known as sri radha shodash naam stotra · shree radha shodash naam stotra · radha shodash naam stotra
Sixteen names of Rādhā spoken by Nārāyaṇa in the Brahmavaivarta Purāṇa, and what makes the text unlike every other name-list here is that it stops after giving them and explains each one. The names are Rādhā, Rāseśvarī, Rāsavāsinī, Rasikeśvarī, dearer than Kṛṣṇa's own life, Akṛṣṇapriyā, Kṛṣṇasvarūpiṇī, born of Kṛṣṇa's left side, of the form of highest bliss, Kṛṣṇā, Vṛndāvanī, Vṛndā, Vṛndāvanavinodinī, Candrāvalī, Candrakāntā, and she whose face has the light of the autumn moon. The glosses then follow in order: in Rādhā the syllable rā means giving, and because she herself gives release she is called Rādhā; she is Rāseśvarī as the wife of the lord of the rāsa, and Rāsavāsinī because her dwelling is in the rāsa. A text that teaches what the names mean rather than only that they are hers.
