Goddess Radha

śrī rādhā stuti

(Shri Radha Stuti in English (IAST))

Traditional

Also known as sri radha stuti · shree radha stuti · radha stuti

A short praise, seven verses, whose whole method is identification. It opens conventionally enough, saluting her as supreme mistress, dweller in the circle of the rāsa, lady of the rāsa, dearer to Kṛṣṇa than his own life, mother of the three worlds and an ocean of compassion whose lotus feet Brahmā and Viṣṇu revere. Then it stops distinguishing her from anyone: salutation to you in the form of Sarasvatī, salutation Sāvitrī, Śaṅkarī; in the form of Gaṅgā, of Padmāvatī, as Ṣaṣṭhī and Maṅgalacaṇḍikā; in the form of Tulasī, in the form of Lakṣmī; salutation, Durgā, Bhagavatī, salutation to you whose form is everything. It closes by asking her, as the root nature, to lift the speaker out of the ocean of the world — the one request in the piece.
