ଶ୍ରୀଵିଷ୍ଣୁଯାମଲେ ଶ୍ରୀ ବାଲା ମୁକ୍ତାଵଲୀ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

A string of pearls, from the Vishnuyamala: twelve verses in which each pearl is one comparison, and the comparisons are all of magnitude. She is bright as a crore of young suns and adorned with a crore of world-eggs; her loveliness is that of a crore of Kamas; she has the light of a crore of fires and is at the same time subtle; she plays with crore upon crore. Every verse ends on the same short salutation, I bow to Bala, and gives her one further name — beloved of Shiva, the everlasting, the giver of boons, the red one. The last verse is not praise but instruction, and is characteristic of the tantric strand these Bala texts belong to: it is to be concealed with effort, concealed without doubt, and not given to others.
