ଶ୍ରୀ ବୁଦ୍ଧିଦେଵୀ ଅଷ୍ଟୋତ୍ତରଶତନାମ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

A hundred and eight names of the goddess Understanding, spoken in the text by Surya, and the opening verse places her before anything that can be understood: risen from the root fire, the destroyer of root ignorance, the great illusion without conditions, Sharada, whose self is the syllable Om. What the list does with an abstraction is give it a history, so that intelligence is treated as a person with a lineage and a form rather than as a faculty. The closing verse names the fruit in the order the hymn cares about: learning, understanding, prosperity and strength first, and then knowledge beyond comparison, and the state of Brahman at the end.
