श्री दक्षिणामूर्थि अष्टोत्तर शत नामावलिः
(Shri Dakshinamurti Ashtottara Shatanamavali)
Also known as sri dakshinamurthy ashtottara shatanamavali · dakshinamurti 108 names · dakshinamurthy namavali
The hundred and eight names of Dakshinamurti in the namavali form, each to be offered with its own salutation. They begin from what the image teaches rather than from what it looks like — the one whose form is knowledge, the great yogin, the holder of pure knowing — and only then take up the Pinaka bow, the matted hair, the Ganga and the ornaments of jewels. The middle of the litany is all cognition: the all-knower, the holder of samadhi, the immeasurable, the treasury of yoga, the ferryman, the one fond of his devotees, whose form is brahman and who pervades the world. It closes on the details a devotee pictures while reciting — best among those who have subdued and quieted themselves, whose nature is sattva and who is a treasury of compassion, beautiful in the yoga strap, holding the vina.
