ಶ್ರೀ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಾಮೂರ್ತ್ಯಷ್ಟಕಮ್ ೪ (ವೃಷಭದೇವ ಕೃತ)

Nine verses, eight of praise and one of fruit, every one of them ending on the line I praise Dakshinamurti always. He is called of countless qualities and beyond measure, the first thing, the cause of the standing and the withdrawal of the whole world, and the temple in the heart of the yogi whose mind has come to rest. He is boundless happiness and the giver of what is wished for, skilled above all others at cutting through the heat in the mind of one who has bowed, and he bears the name of the forest fire that burns the thicket of becoming. The closing verse names Vrishabha as the author and says that whoever reads it in the presence of the revered teacher loses the whole class of sins and sorrows and goes at length, possessed of knowledge, to the world of Shambhu.
