ଶ୍ରୀ ଦତ୍ତାତ୍ରେଯ ଅଷ୍ଟଚକ୍ରବୀଜ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

A climb up the body's centres, in which the same guru is bowed to at each station under a different form and colour. At the four-petalled mūlādhāra with its letters vaṃ śaṃ ṣaṃ saṃ he is red and is Gaṇanātha; at the six-petalled svādhiṣṭhāna he is yellow and is Brahmā, lord of speech; at the ten-petalled centre by the navel he is blue, Lakṣmī's consort mounted on Garuḍa; at the twelve-petalled lotus of the heart he is Śiva with Ambā, doing creation, maintenance and dissolution; at the sixteen-petalled throat he is the moon-shaped master of illusion; at the two-petalled ājñā between the brows, with the seeds haṃ and kṣaṃ, he is lightning-coloured and is knowledge itself; and at the crown he is white in the thousand-petalled lotus, beyond the fourth state. Its colophon attributes it to Śaṅkarācārya and gives it a second name, the Ajapājapa Stotra.
