શ્રી ગોપીજનવલ્લભાષ્ટકમ્ ૨

The second hymn of this name, by Haridasa, sharing the refrain and the metre of the first and doing the opposite with them. Where that one holds still and describes ornament, this one moves through the whole life. Giver of joy to Nanda and his people; destroyer of Baki and Baka; breaker of every churning-pot and delighter in stolen butter, fed on the sweet milk of the cows; a boy on the Kalindi's bank, tawny-clad; bearing all the auspicious marks that Garga named; splitter of the elephant-lord's temple-boss, crusher of the demon Kamsa; and at the last Devaki's son who gives release, granter of boons to Vidura and Uddhava and Akrura, four-armed with mace and sword and conch and lotus. It ends in Mathura, which is where the other one never goes.
