(Sri Ketu Panchavimshati Nama Stotram)
Also known as shri ketu panchavimshati nama stotram · shree ketu panchavimshati nama stotram · ketu panchavimshati nama stotram
Twenty-five names of Ketu from the Skanda Purana, and half of them are what anyone would expect of him: Ketu and Time and the reckoner, the smoke-bannered, the colourless, the banner of the world, the fear-giver, the fierce one, doer of cruel deeds, crusher of the host of stars. What is not expected is the other half. He is called Ganesha and lord of obstacles outright, in the same breath as being called Rudra's own; he is Jaimini's descendant; he destroys the pain of poison and disease; and then three names in a row give him what no other planet is credited with — he is the giver of the wandering life, the giver of knowledge, and the one who sets a man going on pilgrimage. The list ends by naming its own count, and its fruit is stated in the plainest terms, increase of wealth and grain and cattle.
