Goddess Lalita

śrī lalitā pañcaviṃśatināma stotram

(Sri Lalita Pancavimsatinama Stotram in English (IAST))

Also known as sri lalitha panchavimsati nama stotram · shri lalita pancavimsatinama stotram · shree lalita pancavimsatinama stotram

Twenty-five names from the eighteenth chapter of the Lalitopakhyana in the Brahmanda Purana, asked for by Agastya and given by Hayagriva: horse-faced one of great wisdom, the sage says, give my ears this elixir. Almost every name in the set is a name of rule. She is mistress of the lion throne, great queen, empress, bearer of the goad, lady of the wheel and lord of the wheel, universal sovereign, mistress of the kula and of the transmission, and the one who dwells in all the transmissions at once. The two that are not about sovereignty stand at either end of it — the beloved of the bodiless one, and Shringaranayika, the heroine of love. The closing verse names the fruit as good fortune, the eight powers and great fame.
