Lord Shiva

শ্ৰী নটৰাজ হৃদযভাৱনা সপ্তকম্

(Sri Nataraja Hrudaya Bhavana Saptakam in Assamese)

Also known as nataraja hridaya bhavana saptakam · nataraja saptakam · chitsabhesham hridi bhavayami

Seven verses on holding Nataraja in the heart, every one closing on the same line — night and day I contemplate in my heart the lord of the hall of consciousness, the maker of compassion. The first names the two things this figure is: the chastiser of Kama, and the one who bears the sole burden of warding off the affliction of those who have taken refuge, whose sandals are worshipped by Indra and the hosts of gods before him, served by Vyaghrapada and the lord of serpents and the throngs of sages — the two who are said to have witnessed the dance. The second widens the audience to yakshas and rakshasas and danavas and serpents and kinnaras, and calls him the sun to the lotus of Chandika's face.
