(Sri Renuka Ashtottara Shatanamavali in Odia)
Also known as shri renuka ashtottara shatanamavali · shree renuka ashtottara shatanamavali · renuka ashtottara shatanamavali
The same hundred and eight names of Renuka set out for offering rather than for reading, each standing alone between om and namah so that a flower can be given at every one, and the companion of the stotram beside it in this cluster. Performed as an archana the list's oddities stand out more than they do in verse, because each name is stopped after: the severed-handed one, the remover of leprosy, the destroyer of Jamadagni's darkness, and the daughter of Renu all get their own pause. So does the run near the end which moves from peace to what is beyond peace and then to what is further beyond it still. The stotram is the form in which the names are read; this is the form in which they are performed, and between them they are one text twice over.
