ಶ್ರೀ ಶನಿ ಅಷ್ಟೋತ್ತರಶತನಾಮ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಮ್

The hundred and eight names of Śani from the Bhaviṣya Purāṇa, and the list is unusually physical — most of the first thirty names describe a body rather than a power. He is Sauri and Śanaiścara, black, dark as the blue lotus; dry-bellied, wide-eyed, hard to look upon, terrifying; dark-throated, blue, the delight of Chāyā's heart; whose glance is time itself, hollow-eyed, his face thick with rough hair; long, his limbs without flesh, dry, dreadful and fearful; blue-rayed, wrathful, fierce, long-bearded, wearing matted hair; slow, of slow motion, lame, never satisfied. The refusal to soften any of it is the character of the text. Its later verses widen him into the whole sky, naming him as Sūrya's son and then as the Sun and the Moon, as Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus, as Rāhu and Ketu, and as Kṛtānta the ender.
