শ্ৰী শনি কৱচম্

The armour of Śani from the Padma Purāṇa, which names Kaśyapa as the seer of the mantra and anuṣṭubh as its metre, with śaṃ for the seed, vāṃ for the power and yaṃ for the pin. The purpose is stated inside the viniyoga itself rather than left to a closing verse — for the averting of the affliction caused by Śanaiścara — so the text declares from its first line that it is a remedy and not a praise. The record keeps both placings in full: the syllables śāṃ, śīṃ, śūṃ, śaiṃ, śauṃ and śaḥ set on the thumbs and the four fingers and then on the palms, and the same six set on heart, head, crest-lock, armour, the three eyes and the weapon, each with its own closing exclamation. Its final verse promises the reciter every desire in this world and release at the end of it. The record's title and sanskrit_title had both been the same bilingual string and are separated here.
