श्रीत्रिपुराप्रातर्भजनम्

(Sri Tripura Pratah Bhajanam)

Also known as shri tripura pratah bhajanam · shree tripura pratah bhajanam · tripura pratah bhajanam

Five verses of morning remembrance, all of them on one object — the lotus feet of the Mother — with a different power named in each. The first calls the foot the remover of the fault of bad dreams and the giver of a good waking; the second has it opened like a flower by the sunlight struck from the crown-jewels of Indra, of the guardians of the quarters, of Brahma and of Mukunda; the third turns to her four lotus hands, with sugarcane bow, flower-arrows, serpent-noose and jewelled goad; the fourth makes the foot itself earth, water, fire, air and ether, and says the three gods take up their play of creating and withdrawing only after obtaining its dust. The closing verse attributes the five to Hara and names the powers beginning with animan as their fruit.
