ଶ୍ରୀ ଵରାହାଷ୍ଟୋତ୍ତରଶତନାମ ସ୍ତୋତ୍ରମ୍

A hundred and eight names of the Boar, given in the colophon to the Varaha Purana and set there as a reply of Varaha to Dharani, the earth herself. A meditation verse opens it: white, his two arms marked with discus and conch, his face made terrible by the tusks, the earth beside him, waited upon by Brahma and the gods. The names hold both sides of that at once. He is lord of the earth and dweller on the shore of the sea, bringer of safety, protector of Indra and protector of the world, breaker of the pride of Indra's arm — and in the same breath without qualities, without parts, endless and undecaying. One name fixes a place, calling him the lord of Shrimushnam. The same names stand here as a namavali too.
