ଆରତୀ ଭୁଵନସୁଂଦରାଚୀ

(Aarti Bhuvanasundarachi (Marathi) in Odia)

Also known as marathi aarti · aarti marathi · aarti in marathi

A Marathi aarti to Mukunda, the beautiful one of the worlds and the husband of Indira, and it climbs him from the feet upward. The two feet are lotuses, and the waving of the lamp is done by bees; from the gem of the nail the Ganga runs down, and it is that stream which breaks the three afflictions. Then the yellow cloth the colour of heated gold, the girdle at the hips, and the navel whose work is unfathomable, being mother to the father of the world. Then the moon-face, kunda-flower teeth, and a lip red as the sun's disc, at the sight of which Madana himself is confounded. He stands under the wish-tree with the brightness of a crore of lightnings, ringed by the cowherds and their women while heaven rains flowers. Its last verse stops describing and asks: I am tired of turning in this sea, give me a place at your feet.
