ଅଷ୍ଟଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ ଧ୍ଯାନ ଶ୍ଲୋକାଃ

Eight meditation verses, one for each of the eight Lakshmis, and nothing else — no praise, no fruit, only what the worshipper is to hold in mind before each of them. The first is Adilakshmi: two arms and two eyes, the gestures of fearlessness and of the boon, wearing a garland of flowers, seated on a lotus, framed by an arch of blossoms and ringed with a halo of light. The second has the matted crown and the firm seat, the gesture of fearlessness and a bangled hand, and a full pot in the other two, wearing a bodice and a sacred thread and pearls, attended on both sides by women holding lamp and fly whisk. The last is the Gajalakshmi form, four-armed, two lotuses in her hands, bathed from golden pots. Read together they are a specification an image-maker could work from.
